OWNER'S GUIDE

Congratulations on becoming a owner of a Decima watch and thank you very much for helping us grow! Take good care of it and it will last for years to come. I always try to use the best materials and to design and engineer every single part of the watch. In the brief guide below, you can explore a few things that you need to be familiar with in order to keep your Decima watch working in the best way possible.

CONFIGURING YOUR WATCH

Step One: Get It Ticking

In order to get your watch ticking you just need to give it a few good shakes.

Step Two: Unscrew The Crown

Follow this step if the watch crown has the "Screw Down" feature.
Unscrew the crown until you hear a "click". At this position you can rotate the crown to charge up the power reserve. To do this simply rotate the crown clockwise. 5 or 6 rotations should be enough to get the watch started and 40-45 rotations to have a full winding of the movement.

Step Three: Change The Date

Follow this step if your Decima watch has a date function.
To adjust the date, gently pull the crown out until you hear one "click". Start rotating the crown clockwise until you have set your preferred date. Important: Do not set the date from 9pm to 3am. Changing the date during these hours you may risk breaking the mechanism.

Step Four: Set The Time

To adjust the date, pull the crown out to the furthest position (until you hear two "clicks"). Rotate the crown clockwise until you have set the time.

Step Five: Screw Down the Crown

Follow this step if the watch crown has the "Screw Down" feature. After you are done adjusting the date and time, please make sure you fully screw down the crown. Otherwise water can get in.

Step Six: Keep Using It!

After it is fully charged the Decima watch will keep ticking for 38-42 hours. If you leave the watch unworn for more than 42 hours, most likely you will need to repeat the above steps.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR WATCH

Your Decima watch is a robust piece of engineering with the best materials and made to last a lifetime. However there is still a few things we need you to do to keep the watch in the best condition possible.

Water

Put the crown on position 1 or fully screw down the crown (If the watch has screw down feature). With that done you should be fine using your watch in the water. Don't use your watch in higher water presures that is noted on the back of the watch. If you go into salt-water, please remember to rinse your watch with fresh water to avoid corrosion.

Magnetic Fields

They are everywhere - your phone, tablet, laptop even on your speakers. Do not put your watch next to these. Exposing your watch to these magnetic fields for long enough it can impact your watch's timekeeping abilities.
If you notice a sudden loss in timekeeping on your watch, please contact us. A watchmaker should be able to easily demagnetize the watch. If you want to demagnetize your watch yourself you can buy a watch demagnetizer only, watch a video or two and your ready to go.

Harmful Chemicals

Treat your Decima watch as part of your family. Keep harsh chemicals away from your Decima watch

Periodic "Check-Ups"

As everything that consists of moving parts, your Decima watch, needs periodic maintenance. Even though it needs less maintenance than almost everything else, in order to ensure high accuracy and watertight integrity, you should send your Decima watch to the "Doctor" once every 5 years.
